World Heritage Review Special Issue: World Heritage in Germany
On the occasion of the 39th session of the World Heritage Committee in Bonn from 28 June to 8 July 2015, the special issue of the World Heritage Review was published on "World Heritage in Germany". Next to individual portraits of all German World Heritage sites (as of July 2014), the issue also highlights civic engagement in Germany's World Heritage sites and their international partnerships, as well as the educational context specific to World Heritage in Germany and the German expertise in international cooperation. An interview with the Chairperson of the World Heritage Committee, Prof Dr Maria Böhmer, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, completes the presentation of the German position in matters of World Heritage.
The special issue is available in English, French, Spanish and German, and can be obtained from the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the German Commission for UNESCO.
