Young Experts Forum 2015 in Germany

A big thank you goes out to the participants for their profound and dedicated contribution to the Young Experts Forum held prior to the 39th session of the World Heritage Committee. From 18 to 29 June 2015 thirty-two young heritage experts from around the world met in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site and in Bonn to exchange ideas and provide input to the theme of this year’s Forum Towards a Sustainable Management of World Heritage Sites.

In vivid discussions, interactive workshops and hands-on work the young experts developed ideas how to make World Heritage fit for the future. Their suggestions and commitments for a sustainable management of World Heritage Sites resulted in the declaration of the Young Experts Forum 2015.

Online Plattform "Young Heritage Experts"

This is what true commitment looks like: Three months after the 39th session, the participants of the Young Experts Forum 2015 initiated “Young Heritage Experts”. Resulted of the YEF-declaration, the online platform aims to serve as a think tank and an international networking platform for young professionals, activists, and researches in the field of cultural and natural heritage.
