Symposium of UNESCO Chair Cottbus at 39th Session

On the occasion of the 39th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Bonn, the UNESCO Chair in Heritage Studies at the University of Cottbus, Germany, will hold a symposium from 29 June to 8 July 2015.


The symposium will be focusing on “The Four Pillars of Sustainability for the Implementation of the UNESCO Conventions to Protect Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage as well as Natural Heritage”.

The goal of this event is to discuss recent developments in the sustainable use and protection of heritage with delegations and participants who attend the Session and to conceptualise contributions for a publication.

Following the launching event at the venue of the 39th Session, the symposium will continue throughout the first week of the Session.
